We still have few candles left from our wedding reception four years ago.I bought simple white candles and decorated them with ribbons matching reception decoration colors. Ribbons I secured with pins. These tall candles burn 3 h, so the ribbons were not any fire hazard in the reception (although we had a fire in our reception; a guest managed to set his menu on fire... fortunately my maid of hounour put the fire down in seconds).
Obviosly you have to take the ribbons off when the candle has burned down closer to the ribbons.
Meillä on edelleen jäljellä muutamia kynttilöitä häistämme neljä vuotta sitten. Ostin yksinkertaisia valkoisia kynttilöitä ja koristelin ne häävastaanoton muiden koristeiden väreihin sopivin nauhoin.Nauhat kiinnitin kynttilöihin nuppineuloin. Nämä korkeat kynttilät palavat 30 h, joten koristenauhat eivät olleet paloriski häissä (tosin meillä oli pieni tulipalo häissä; eräs vieras onnistui sytyttämään menukorin tuleen, onneksi kaasoni sammutti palon sekunneissa).
Nauhat täytyy tietenkin poistaa, kun kynttilä on palanut lähemmäksi niitä.
